One thing I've learned to do is pre-empt typical moderator responses and answers. For example, I will find things that they might consider to be duplicates and then I will differentiate my post from each. I also outline every solution I've tried. I've had that hit 17 or so and the post was almost comically large.

Moderators are great but when they're bad, they're predictably bad. Use that against them and pre-empt the normal responses they might have. Since I've done this, I've never had a post closed or otherwise reprimanded.
