I built LinguaMaster because passive YouTube watching wasn't helping me learn French.

It's a desktop app that turns any YouTube video into an interactive language lesson:

-Paste a URL → AI generates bilingual subtitles (Whisper)

-Click any word → instant translation + pronunciation

-Select a sentence → Gemini explains grammar in context

-Chat with an AI tutor who knows your video's content

-Save vocabulary → spaced repetition review

Tech stack: Electron + React + FastAPI + Whisper + Gemini(BYOL is supported)

100% local-first. Your data stays on your machine. You can use your own API key.

Free tier: 500 credits/month (enough for 2-3 full video sessions).

Windows only for now, macOS coming soon.
